I'd say 3 is the biggest issue. Cavs have no one to guard Jordan. You can try playing zone but Bulls moved the ball and had a ton of playmaking. Cavs OTOH didn't and they'd struggle to put up offense once the ball gets forced out of Lebron's hands. '96 Bulls is '25 OKC on steroids.

Bulls lost in '95 because they were thin in the front court after losing Grant to the Magic. They lost to the Magic that year.
They added one of the GOAT rebounders in Rodman and went on to win 72 games and sweep the Magic (they went from losing the reb battle in '95 to outrebounding them by SIXTY in 4 games) and the rest is history.

Dame's just there to mentor the young guys while he rehabs. Portland is in the rebuild they're not going to be contending for anything next year, at best they make the POs.

Jordan basically took 2 seasons off during his prime and Lebron still needed like 2 more seasons worth of games to pass MJ's total :oldlol:

From Portland's side, I think they need a leader and Dame is an extremely standup guy by NBA standard with a lot of ties in Portland. Having someone like that could be good for the team's development. Plus he could be a trade asset down the line.

I have never insulted RRR3's Jewish background. I have insulted his looks and his inability to leave his parent's basement and get a job, but I am once again the only one on here defending the right of Jews to exist. He's a Jew himself and he hates his own people. The guy's a dumbass.

So in 2026-27 when he's back, what exactly are they supposed to be doing with a 36 year old PG on the decline making serious money (Jrue), a 36 yr old PG coming off a major injury likely still believing he's a starter (Dame), and a young PG going into the final year of his rookie scale contract expecting a major payday and minutes (Scoot)?

So... what was his reason for leaving in the first place again? That they're rebuilding, that they have no legit #2, that he can't win a championship there? That they committed their highest pick in years to a PG that can only play PG.
So are we supposed to pretend that literally all of those aren't still true?
Let's call this what it is: A...

people here didn't grow up in inner city schools and it shows. wouldn't doubt some folks here were home-schooled or sheltered in some white only school. in the public schools i went to, we all joked around about race 24/7 and most people didn't get offended or cared much bc the minorities there were white ppl lol.

But thats the thing, hes not a one off, hes the basketball icon from an era of icons. That era is over, we dont worship celebrities like that anymore. If you were critical of Jordan in the media in his era, you'd probably be out of a job. Meanwhile in Lebrons era plenty of media people have made a career out of being his detractors. There...
