Re: Has any other player spread out his "peak" throughout his career like Kobe Bryant?
Kobe's surprising me this year. After he won his title in '09, I predicted he had 2 more years of Top 5 ball left in him - 2010 and 2011. That's how it was going(although some may argue he wasn't Top 5 in '11), until now. He's had a terrific comeback season so for. Looks like a Top 3 player, which is very rare in NBA history for a 34 year old. Kareem, MJ, Malone and Hakeem....the only players I can think of who were Top 3-5 at that age.

Kobe doesn't know or care who any of us is :lol
Re: Has any other player spread out his "peak" throughout his career like Kobe Bryant?
Quite amazing how good he still is at 34. When alot of perimeter players completely fall off when reaching 30ish.
Re: Has any other player spread out his "peak" throughout his career like Kobe Bryant?
Doubt he keeps it up, but I'll be happy with something like 23-24/5/4-5 on 56%+TS.
Re: Has any other player spread out his "peak" throughout his career like Kobe Bryant?
In his first few seasons they always used to say he told everyone he wanted to have a completely refined skill game(fadeway etc.) so that he could play well into old age.

It is pretty amazing how he is far and away the best player at his position in his 17th season.
But we've been over this already.

if he only averages 23 points in this system then something is wrong. I wouldn't be surprisedif he averaged around 28.
Re: Has any other player spread out his "peak" throughout his career like Kobe Bryant?
Really no reason why he should be averaging more than 25 with the talent on this team.

Why not? As long as it's in the flow of the offense then bomb away. It's not like Artest is going to score 20 every game.

THIS.
Scoring is Kobes way of staying focus, we may not like it.. but its a fact.
