I don't support Trump or anything like that I'm speaking entirely from a racial standpoint. Black people can straight up be blatantly and publicly racist and it is always brushed off. Weird thing for our society to accept.[/QUOTE]

You’re acting like the people who use Amazon then complain about Jeff bezos being so rich.
If you care more about discussing LeBron James than people who save lives you shouldn’t be surprised the nation at large and it’s representatives would give athletes more time than millions of nameless faceless EMTs and firefighters.
Politicians look at numbers. The Super Bowl gets more eyes on it than footage of Coops saving people. That’s the world. You help make it that way.
Don’t act annoyed by it now.

No, I said that winning a ring for throwing a ball through a hoop along with winning the world series or the super bowl are acceptable criteria for getting an invitation to meet the president of the US, but someone who saves a life that makes national news isn't worthy of an invite. Apparently winning in sports is more important than a life/lives being saved.
Kblaze tried to more or less say that I'm not in position to criticize what the white house is using for criteria since I talk more about basketball on this site than saving lives. If anything he's even more out of position since he talks about basketball on here way more than I do. His lack of not complaining about the criteria to meet the president has no bearing on this fact.
It's a shitty example because what I post on this site has nothing to do with how laughable it is on what the government uses for criteria for meeting the president. Kblaze tried to reach for a cookie before dinner and got his hand slapped before it ever got near the jar.

I'm not criticizing society, I'm criticizing whomever decided that winning at baseball, basketball, and football is good criteria for meeting the president over than say someone who does something heroic. That decision was made long ago. Unless this decision was voted on and brought to the attention of the voters, then your whole example just got shot to shit. I'm not saying that it doesn't need to be recognized. The tradition has been going on since Aug. 30, 1865 when Andrew Johnson welcomed the Brooklyn Atlantics and Washington Nationals. What I'm saying is that since it's still being recognized, maybe another look needs to be taken at the criteria used to determine what considers a trip to the white house.
Watching Kblaze try to pull the whole "don't point fingers if you are doing the same" stunt was pretty funny though.

Are you telling me that unless an item is brought to a nationwide vote there’s no way to tell if people care or not?
Think about this for a moment.....
What issue could even get the majority to vote in the first place?
You can be president with 63 million votes in a country of 300+ million with 70 million voting for someone else. There is no vote that really tells you what people think.
Apathy wins every election. It would win on the subject of first responders too.
Not caring is what Americans do. It’s why we allow our representatives to not care. We talk shit then do nothing....because we don’t care.
