No, Bynum's potential is this, but Bynum this season hasn't been and has been below expectations. Basically, taking in Bynum would be taking the risk of whether or not he pans out. And it seems Orlando didn't want to take the risk, and go with consistency.
Honestly, he's past this point. While he is not at his peak yet, it's not like he's producing $hit numbers. He's averaging 17/12.5/2! Even his "offgames" he gets around 14/8/1 (still better than almost all the centers in the league)...hardly what I would call inconsistent. Especially when his big games look almost identical to Dwights (which is saying a lot).
Doesn't mean Orlando would.
Who knows what Orlando will do? No one. Not me, not you. So what are we left with? Oh, arguing what package we feel is better. Bynum > Bulls "reported" package. :confusedshrug:
Why wouldnt Orlando welcome back a young big man prospect who isnt the defender Dwight is, but is a much better offensive player than Dwight? If anything L.A would be the one reluctant to make a deal if they love Bynum. Yeah Orlando wouldnt want Bynum, they'd love f*cking Carlos Boozer and a backup Asik. GTFOH

The thing is a the Lakers will not give up Pau Gasol which is the only way Orlando can give up Turk. I know Deng and Booz both have long deals with the same amount of money but both players are significantly better then Turkoglu and Asik is very high on other teams desired players list (Golden State, Cleveland and Houston to name some).
It is possible that Orlando also does not like Bynum's unreliable knees. Booz and Deng have been injured, but not in the same exact area every single time.

Just answered part of your post above. And yes, we do know what Orlando wants. There has been multiple reports saying they want Pau AND Bynum. If they just wanted Bynum that trade would have happened already. Get with the program GOBB.
That's all good and fine but Orlando will suck very badly if they pick Deng over Bynum. Who knows, maybe that's their plan. Maybe they want to start tanking. Just saying, it's an absolutely awful deal for Orlando...everything Gobb is saying is correct. You have to be out of your mind to take the Bulls package. :confusedshrug:

Not if you're someone who's thinking about Bynum's legs...which I'm sure Orlando has. They've had a the benefit of having a C who's been in pretty good health during his time there. With Bynum, I'm sure they've taken notice to his injury problems, like Pharcyde said, in the SAME KNEE. We aren't even guaranteed we'll have Bynum for 5-10 more years honestly.

I think in the beginning they wanted Gasol & Bynum, but with the trade deadline a few days away and Bynum progressing as the season progresses? I would think they'd be glad with getting Bynum in exchange for Howard by now. I really just think Howard refuses to sign an extension with the Lakers. Only explanation. Either that or Otis is not trading Dwight and taking a gamble.

If Bynum is available you have to make the trade if you are the Magic. You just have to. After that you have a couple options. You see how he does next season before you give him an extension all the while fielding trade offers for him.

Its not his fault, their desperate. Doesn't help when Bynum has been inconsistent all season, and Lopez refuses to stay healthy. What other options they had beside Chicago? The fact they are the #1 team in the east, and Otis would be taking Key pieces of that #1 team helps.
Bynum is having his best season BY FAR as a pro, and is the clear cut best center out of the west, best center in the LEAGUE after Dwight. What are talking about?
Bynum is having his best season BY FAR as a pro, and is the clear cut best center out of the west, best center in the LEAGUE after Dwight. What are talking about?
He's been inconsistent. He's had games where he shows potential of being better than Dwight, then other games where he's a complete liability to the Lakers, even having Laker fans calling him a bum.
They would suck very badly when Bynum inevitably has another knee injury too.
And they will suck with a a healthy Boozer whose matador defense gets exposed and there is no one/team to protect him. Give me a f*cking break, how dare you prop up the Bulls package over Andruw Bynum who you probably could argue is as good as Dwight Howard RIGHT NOW. Offensively? He takes #2's all over Howards lawn! No curb. Bynum is giving you 12rpg. Thats 3rd best in the NBA behind Howard and Love. He's blocking 2 shots a game. Good enough for top 5 in the league.
So Bynum is offensively more skilled/polished than Howard will ever be.
So Bynum ranks 3rd in rebounding, 5th in blocks.
So Bynum is 24yrs old.
You get all of this and you have the NERVE, THE NERVE to talk about Bynums knees and ignore Carlos friggin Boozer? The 30yrs old who has x amount of years on a deal he wont live up too? A guy that a majority of Bulls fans pray to night gets traded just in general (not talkin Howard either). Get your sh!t and get out of this f*cking thread!
You're absolutely nuts. Did you see what Bynum did yesterday?
Look I'm not the Orlando GM, no one on this board is. So dont shovel your BULLshyt to us as your way of trying to sell me on Boozer in attempts to get Dwight Howard. When in reality, deep down inside you are laughing at the notion that the Bulls can keep Noah and get rid of CARLOS FRIGGIN BOOZER for Dwight Howard. I know I know, Asik/Deng is involved. But I'm not EATING Boozer for nothing. So enugh of this you wont speak on what Boozer really is because you dont want to ruin a potential deal. No one is a GM here, Gms arent gonna read this thread and have 2nd thoughts on a proposed deals being discussed.
Cut it out.
Give me the young big man in Bynum while you keep preaching about his "knees". Ok? I'll worry about his knees and you keep Carlos friggin Boozer, the man who dyes his hair JET BLACK lookin like a total herb.
And no Boozer is no scrub, worthless player. But when you are talkin Bynum or Bulls package where Boozer is involved? Wake up and smell the folgers.

It's called having a BAD GAME. You know, like when Dwight goes a whole game with only 6 points? Or even better, when Noah puts up single digit rebounds and points?
Inconsistent? Carlos Boozer is inconsistent. Bynum isn't even near his prime yet and is putting up 17 and 12, playing with Pau Gasol and Kobe ****ing Bryant.
I used to consider you a high quality poster. But lately you've been saying some outlandish things.

Aologies, I take that back. I got you confused (after checking) with "tikay0" the Bulls poster.

He's had a Couple bad games...more than enough. What keeps his averages so high is that after getting out of a slump, he'll have a number of VERY good games, so it balances out. But don't act like we haven't seen Laker fans on here shitting on Bynum for what they consider a bad performance, and this has been an occasional thing til recently. We just had a "Kobe is carrying scrubs" movement a few weeks ago.
If Bynum is as good as you say, why would the Lakers trade him, why not try and cover other weaknesses since the C position in LA is so good:confusedshrug:

Honestly? I dont think Lakers will. I just think Orlando would be stupid IF they could trade for Bynum and decided they prefer the Bulls package instead. Thats all I'm saying. I refuse to believe the "reported" package is the best Orlando can do AND something Orlando really likes.

I agree, Bynum is better than any one player the Bulls could offer save for Rose.

Are you an idiot? If Magics could they would be all over Bynum for Howard but since Howard said he wouldn't resing with Lakers long term so Lakers turned down the trade.
Bynum over that package plus 20 millions.
So let me get this straight...
The Magic are reportedly unwilling to part with Howard for Bynum, who is a 7 foot All Star beast of a center, but they are willing to trade Howard for injured Deng, Boozer's horrible contract and OMER ASIK?!
:facepalm

And they even think this is better then Bynum trade.
Howard just quite simply ... doesn't want to win. If he did this would be a no brainer. Such a loser. Too busy wanting to be a comedy act. Bulls gets D12, and move Noah (redundant) for a quality SG ... and the Bulls can beat the Heat. Howard is such a loser.

We don't know that. Maybe it's the Lakers not pulling the trade if Howard is not willing to sign a long-term deal.
I'm a Bulls fan, and I agree that Bynum is worth more than our package. I cannot imagine a team in the league who would be willing to take on Boozer's horrible contract, let alone the team with the biggest trade chip in recent history.
Noah+Deng+Asik+Bobcats' pick would be much better for them. And Boozer may actually play better next to Dwight.
Anyway, this talk is all moot if Howard doesn't want us.

I agree with the post that howard is a clown if hes not willing to go to the bulls. Dude needs to get real and recognize the way to make his "brand" is winning titles. Personally, I think asik, deng and boozer is a much better deal than just bynum (presuming they are also taking hedo off their hands). Deng is massively underrated by fans across the board and boozer is a great offensive player in the right system. Sure, Bynum is better than any of them, but unless they are also moving hedo for, say, expirers and barnes, the bulls deal is better IMO.

How is that shocking?
Bynum has only averaged 31 plus games a season...Of course, he's a gifted player and a true center....But Orlando simply doesn't want to take the chance of another critical injury...
It's not rocket science...

Apparently it is rocket science...people seriously saying a deal based around Deng + Boozer is better than a deal based around Bynum.
Deng...BOOZER...and I guess 7 footers with serious skills just grow on trees.
:facepalm
This is quite ridiculously. Dwight Howard is reaching LeBron's level of attention whoring.
It's clear that Dwight is more interested in his own personal life such as location, attention, and fame than he does about winning, legacy, and greatness.
Wow I learned that there are two morons in Orlando today. One plays for the Magic and the other is the GM. I knew Otis is an idiot, but SMH at Dwight for not wanting to go to one of the best basketball cities hungry for a championship. And LOL at Otis taking on Boozer of all people, this dude is comedy of errors
Stop crying. :lol

He doesn't want to go to LA or Boston either but would go to Brooklyn? :facepalm
Rich Devos (the old dude who was the Magic owner) hates the Lakers for using what were likely illegal methods to take Shaq from them.
Orlando will deal Dwight to LA I think only as a last, last, last, last resort.
I don't buy the adidas excuse either. Nike made huge bank having Jordan and Pippen in Chicago together.

It was proven false, an Adidas rep even said them playing on the same team would bring good results for the business.
