That's not true, most posters here had him as a top 5 player in the league last season, only a certain few tried to downplay his impact. They were somewhat respectable with him on defense and look at them now.

Embiid is a better defender when he's locked in because he has the foot speed to contain guards in open space better than AD can but AD does have that nice vertical leaping ability for highlight blocks. Overall though I'd say AD's impact leaves a lot to be desired.

As far as AD's game is concerned however, he isn't an explosive enough scorer and he doesn't have a deep offensive repertoire.
