I thought Magic Johnson was 6'9"?

Yep, Barkley is 6-7 barefoot according to his mug shot. Those are very accurate, much more than any NBA draft measurement or listing, because they have to get them right.

Anyone that has been arrested before knows that they measure you straight against the wall and they deduct your shoes and hair in the measurement, so the height they get is your actual height.

It's all just PR by the NBA to make you go oooo and ahhhh, everyone knows that height is over the top. shaq 7'1?!? more like 6'10. Also kobe is about 6'4 at most and wade is 6'2. I reckon Nate robinson is about 5'5 which would make mugsy bogues about 4'11.

The military sometimes does the opposite. When I joined the military they deducted 6 inches and 70 pounds from me in order to make "uniform statistics". That just goes to show you how much bull shit there is in stats and that's what people like to use to prove things.

5-7 barefoot. He was measured at that in some interview. Again, it proved the NBA makes up heights for marketing purposes. They exaggerated how short he was (5-5 in shoes) to make for more marketing.
