Kobe is 6'6?
:wtf: KJobe is 6'6 and he is 6'9.
Kobe isn't 6'6....he's more like 6'4. I don't think Magic is 6'9 either...probably closer to 6'7
Magic Johnson is 6'7" that was his listed height in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
Kobe Bryant is 6'5" or 6'4 3/4"

So if Kobe is 6'4 then Wade must be 6'2??

Jordan and Kobe are both 6'6

In Shoes
There's confusion here because some people are talking about height with shoes, and others aren't.
I noticed the Dwight Howard is 2 inches shorter than Odom. So Dwight Howard must be like 6'8".
with shoes i guess.
Magic is older and might be shrinking a little. He was 6'9 when he was playing
You people are obcessed with height. If Magic is 6'8 1/2, it has no relevancy to his career, other than claimed height measure. Wethere he is truly 6'7 or 6'8 or 6'9, IT CHANGES NOTHING other than your opinion.

lol Exactly.
There's defintley more than an inch difference between Magic and Kobe.

Kobe isn't 6'6" either. He admits it and his wife measured him at 6'4 3/4"
Bryant, still holding Daniel, told him:
None of this stuff really matters but here's the deal. Neither Kobe nor Jordan are 6'6". They're high 6'4" to about 6'5". Magic is about 6'5". That dude never sniffed 6'9". That's just part of his "legend". None of it matters because he was still one of the best and Jordan is the best and Kobe is great regardless of his height. Dwight Howard isn't 6'10". He's 6'9" something. I know that because I'm friends with Jameer and he told me that Turkoglu was a legit 6'10" and Howard wasn't. With Howard it's pretty obvious when he plays against taller players. Magic was taller than most point guards of his day so people just believed that crap. Hakeem and Mourning were only 6'10" and Barkley was just under 6'5". I've met Barkely several times and played winter league basketball with a guy that played on the Sixers for four years with Barkely. Again, the most important thing is that the real height of any of these players is unimportant. They were/are all good regardless.
pretty much^^^^^
The heights we commonly see on their cards and websites are all messed up. They re either in shoes or not in shoes.
I tell you what though, it makes me feel a little better though. If Kobe is only 6'4....I'm not giving up too many inches to him and probably have the same armspan. Oooooh how I would love to swat the dudes shot just ONCE
[QUOTE=
And Lebron23 is right, Magic Johnson is about 6'7", maybe a bit over.
No, he's about 6'5". When he had Howard Stern on his TV show years ago they were the same height and Stern is is 6'5". It was funny because Drew Carrey was on the show and they were taking questions and Drew Carrey asked Magic why he was listed at 6'9" but was the same height as Howard. Magic didn't reply and they cut to commercial.
If I had to make an honest guess I would say Kobe is 6'5" and Magic just under 6'8".
Magic is 6'7.
Jordan and Bryant are both 6'4<6'5.
I thought this was common knowledge?
I am 6'4", barefoot. I have stood next to Barkley a couple of times, and he is, is 6'6"+ in shoes, seeming to be around 6'7". People now exaggerate how tall he isn't.

Howard is 6'10 (6'9 without shoes). He might even be a little taller now, considering he was measured at those heights when he was 18.
I have met Kobe before and would say he was around 6'5/6'6.
People are too obsessed with these players heights. Cant wait for a thread where someone mentions one of these players height and in comes the "Nope, he is this site ____" as thier way of a "win", "I'm right you're wrong. Ha!".

exactly what i was thinking :oldlol:
To have Kobe and just Magic with Mcgrady does seem very odd
To have Kobe and just Magic with Mcgrady does seem very odd
Dude, IMO oppinion TMac isn't the one throwing the pic off. Why the hell is Magic there at all, let alone rocking a current Lakers jersey? Now if he had on an old school I would almost understand, but yea, there is the addition of TMac.
6'4 and 3/4 is basically 6'5 without shoes. Once you put your sneaks on, you are legit 6'6.
Magic appears to be at least 2 inches taller than Kobe, so in shoes he has to be between 6'8 and 6'9 during his playing days. Yes, height get exaggerated, but to make Magic 6'5 is probably going a bit too far.
Kobe is actually 6-5 but It doesn't really matter how tall magic is, if your half a foot taller than other point guards, no need to be any taller. and if hes 6-7 or 6-9 hes still at least half a foot taller than everyone.
Last night local Dallas sports guys were on TV and one of them said that Brandon Bass is not 6'8 as listed but really 6'6.
NBA players have false heights listed ALL the time.
Hell, ALL major athletic team sports seem to. In high school, my playing size magically gained two inches and thirty pounds on gameday.
Kobe isn't 6'6....he's more like 6'4. I don't think Magic is 6'9 either...probably closer to 6'7
Thread ought to be closed. All these superstars have their heights exaggerated an inch or two to make them seem larger than life.
Known fact.

These are the reason. Just like AI isn't 6"0 either. More like 5"10.
Magic is not 6`9 he is a bit taller thank Pippen, who is 6`7 1/2
He is around 6`7 3/4 and 6`8 and also naturally very bulky so that makes him seem bigger sometimes

Bass is 6"6 without shoes, and 6"7 1/4th in shoes.
A lot of the heights on NBA.com are those with shoes, we now have access to Draft measurements, so there isn't as much guessing with heights.

it was obviously an all-star photoshoot. magic was a participant in the nba shooting stars contest that year with the lakers.
Guys are always obsessing over an inch or two!
Kobe is 7 "2..what are you guys talking about??

Age and weight have probably taken a bit of a toll on magics height.
