Yeah, plus they might win...
:lol nevermind.
Yeah, plus they might win...
Haha not the way Dallas plays in close games.
that'd be FIFTY points now lol
Crazy scenes
52 points on 22-31! And got the W. Huge game for Dre.
He matched Roy's career high and I'm guessing on better percentage.
22-31 FG, 1-1 3pt, 7-8 FT, 6 rebound, 2 steals, 2 turnovers, 2 assists (starters weren't making their shots very much so he took over)
Great night. Especially since last night he was 1-6 for 2 points.

14-27 FG, 5-7 3-PT, 19-21 FT for Roys

nice.

He must be really good.. It's almost impossible for a player to score 50 nowadays...
Those tough no touch rules make life as a perimeter player harrrrrrrrrrrd.....

I know! Why anyone playing before the 2000's would drop 50 regularly with the rules and pansies playing today!
Now he'll get exposure and posters will start including him in their top 10/15 PG's lists all of a sudden, when some posters [such as myself] have been rating him in the top 10 for years.
Blazers 4th quarter: 30 points
Andre Miller 4th quarter: 25 points
Yeah, but Miller has never been a very good jump shooter. He is known as a playmaker/pass first PG. It's just a little bit surprising and look at the number of free throws. Most players would have 20 free throws to get those stats. Try to find performances with straight buckets like Dre did tonight. I bet you won't find too many. I got my money. :pimp:

Dude freak 50 point games from decent players have been known to happen. Tracy Murray dropped 50 in Jordan's era.
Just, FYI ...

Trend whores, Miller is great but out of all those guys in that list he's more subtle about his game. I bet when he has another 1-6 night those posters will jump on another trend.
via Twitter "On a night when Andre Miller scores 52 points I encourage everyone to play the lottery, gamble and hit on supermodels."

Tony Delk says, "sup".
Didn't Jamal Crawford drop 50? :lol
Andre Miller dropping 50 is no big deal since he is 34 years old. If he did it at 24, this board would be going bananas.
Didn't Jamal Crawford drop 50? :lol
Three times.
He did it once with the Bulls, the team that drafted him, I remember that.
Crawford is the perfect 6th man. That's probably what Andre Miller should be.

Blazers are 7-9 without Miller starting
Blazers are 21-12 with Miller starting
He did it once with the Bulls, the team that drafted him, I remember that.
He dropped 52 on the Heat while playing for the Knicks, and he scored 50 on Charlotte while playing for the Warriors.
Miller had an awesome game, that off balance shot across the lane was sweet:rockon: ...
Portland are going way better this season than i thought they would..
I thought Miller was a redundant signing and a needless one at that. He only blocks young guys who can handle the ball like Rudy and Bayless. I think Portland would be wise to go the younger direction since they obviously can't win it all this year. However, it's tough to do that when the sly old veteran Andre Miller drops 50+ points in a game against solid competition in a hostile environment.
Miller was simply on fire tonight. He was in the zone. I would never have expected this outcome from a pass first PG. It's a good thing for Portland but at the same time you have to wonder if it is kind of like Orlando's situation in the recent past with Skip to my Lou. Pretty soon, you're going to have to move the old guy so your younger talent can shine. And in Orlando's case that was Jameer Nelson.
Didn't Jamal Crawford drop 50? :lol
It's not as ridiculous with JC. He's a streaky shooter whose a KNOWN gunner who has never met a shot he hasn't approved. He's dropped 50 + 2 or 3 times so it isn't that shocking with Crawford.
Tony Delk says, "sup".
Well, you and I would know that of course ... cause we're intelligent fans of the game. Errr "bandwagon fans"
:oldlol:
Trend whores, Miller is great
Whoa, whoa ... easy there tiger. Andre Miller has never been "great."
He dropped 52 on the Heat while playing for the Knicks, and he scored 50 on Charlotte while playing for the Warriors.
And then had his first one on the Bulls against the Raptors. That one against the Heat came with him sitting the majority of the 4th quarter as well. The Raptor one was in OT I believe, and I forget about the one against Charlotte as a member of the Warriors.

Tony Delk, a far worse player than Miller drops 53 in regulation, no overtimes before the new rules are put in place. I wonder how that happens...
Whoa, whoa ... easy there tiger. Andre Miller has never been "great."
He's not great in the sense of Nash, Paul, Williams, Nelson sense but he gets his numbers and does a good job setting guys up. He can attack the rim (something Steve Blake refuses to do) and find his own shot when nobody else wants to take it. What more do you want? He's not flashy, but he gets the job done.

Who? Exactly. The pro 80's/90's homos need to shut the hell up.

This really isn't similar to the Rafer in Orlando situation at all. Rafer was brought to town because Jameer got hurt and Orlando needed someone servicable to hold things down. Rafer was dealt as soon as he was no longer needed.
Tony Delk, a far worse player than Miller drops 53 in regulation, no overtimes before the new rules are put in place. I wonder how that happens...
Yeah, but Tony Delk could score. TRACY MURRAY was a spot up shooter. The equivelent to a black Jason Kapono and dropped 50+ in the 90's as a member of the Bullets. Tracy FREAKING Murray.
:oldlol:
If it happens once, knowing the caliber of player someone is I consider some 50 + games to be flukes.

Just watch the wording, that's all. He's a solid starting PG. That's all he ever has been. Even when he put up pretty good numbers for terrible Cavalier teams. It was a mirage. Like with any scrub putting up numbers on a bad team. Cause if those numbers meant something and came at important times, the numbers would be accurate representations of the player's impact, and their respective teams wouldn't be racking up L's instead of W's.

I never saw the one against the Bulls, I did see the other two. The one against the Heat was more impressive than the one against Charlotte. He made 16 (I think it was 16) shots in a row, and like you said, sat out late in the game. He easily could've gone for 60+ had the game remained close.

Both 9ppg scorers for their careers. At least Miller is at 15ppg for his career.

If you paid attention to Orlando's playoff run, you would have noticed the tension between Rafer and the coaching staff, the team, and Nelson. He didn't want to be replaced when he was playing well and Nelson was coming back from injury.
It's a similar situation because it is out with the old and in with the new. The Blazers need to move the road block that is Andre Miller. I know he dropped 50 and that's great. All fans should relish in it. But in the big picture, he's not going to get the Blazers to the promised land. Bayless just might be able to do that...but how will we know since he can barely average 18 minutes per game?
Why did Portland sign Andre Miller? Are they that down on Rudy and Bayless?
Both 9ppg scorers for their careers. At least Miller is at 15ppg for his career.
'Dre Miller is a better player head and shoulders compared to the both of them.
Who on here could of honestly guessed that Brandon Jennings and Andre Miller would be the 1st two players to drop 50pts this season? I bet no one in the world saw that coming
