If its official, that's awesome.

Re: CJ Watson, on twitter, "Congrats to DRose for winning the MVP."
you know I'm really tired of certain teams lucking into players, getting mvp awards, etc.
The NBA needs to become more balanced.
6 titles and a bunch of MVP's isn't enough for Chicago? All they had to wait was what 12 years before they get another superstar & MVP?
Complete BS. Chicago had the 9th worst record that season and end up with the #1 pick.... fk that.
Some teams never win a title, never have an mvp, etc. David Stern needs to get his legs broken. A new commissioner is needed....one who is about sharing the wealth and not continuously perpetuating the success of certain franchises.

June, April, October, Earth, Mars, Jupiter... Rondo aint better than Rose/CP3/DWill/Nash etc...

Dang man that's a big dose of haterade you drank today. I know New York has struggled recently, but like you mentioned so has the Bulls for pretty much over a decade straight. Hang in there buddy.

What're the odds for the Mega Millions lotto?
People still win that?
You dumb fool. Impossible and improbable are two very different things.

Re: CJ Watson, on twitter, "Congrats to DRose for winning the MVP."
Rose is not a pure PG. so i wont call him one. i still say hes one of the best combo guards.

my user name has nothing to do with it.
It has to do with the Clippers, the Bucks, the Raptors, etc etc etc
Why doesn't Stern oust Clipper owner Donald Sterling after it was found that his business strategy was to operate at the lowest possible cost rather than spending the money to WIN. Sterling has been in there since the 80's.
Things like that. Why isn't the league made more fair in other ways? Why isn't there a franchise tag that would prevent EVERYONE from always leaving Toronto? You think they'll EVER win a title?
Come on man...the league is fked up and YOU KNOW IT.

Maybe, but I like our chances more than the Bulls.

Show me when Rose dropped 29/18/13 on a top 5 defensive team and come back to me. In fact minus CP3 show me when any of them did it in the playoffs...

Because Rose is a GREAT scorer AND a GOOD passer.. He's a combo.
But because Rondo is a POOR scorer and a GREAT passer.. He's a pure PG?
Am I the only one tired of this sh*t?

Ninja edit:
I didn't realize that was what Rondo averaged.
To be real, Rondo is awesome, but he's the third best player on his team. Rose is the MVP of the league.

It's easy to average those numbers playing with 3 future HOFs and a stacked team. Lets see what he does when they leave.
The guy can't even hit a open shot for god's sake or a free throw :lol
Any decent PG would be as good as Rondo on the Celtics

It's these dumb posters here, who THINK they know what a PG is supposed to do.
They think PGs are just supposed to stack up assists. The point of the PG is to run the offense

Re: CJ Watson, on twitter, "Congrats to DRose for winning the MVP."
Congrats to D-Rose!!!!!
I don't know why some of you people want to knock him. He doesn't play for my team and isn't my favorite player but come on he had a great year.
Stop hating and just give the kid his just dues.

Re: CJ Watson, on twitter, "Congrats to DRose for winning the MVP."
Rose is the MVP of this season thanks to his team, and don't anyone ever forget it. He still is not a better player than Kobe, Wade, LeBron, Dwight or Paul. And probably Durant.

theres obviously a great deal of difference between a pure PG and a combo guard. its not my definition but its pretty clear that rose isnt a pure PG by a long stretch. theres nothing wrong with that btw.

According to you the top 5 player in the league let his team get eliminated taking 9 shots? 10 points? No killer instinct?
Too bad the Celtics future might be in jeopardy if they get kicked out of the playoffs this year.
They would have to build around RONDO, I hit more open shots than him, might as well build around me :oldlol:
Feel sorry for you man :(

Right, exactly. Rose would not have won the MVP if he had played 1 on 5, literally, the entire season. How many games this year did Noah and Boozer miss combined? How many games did Bogans/Kurt Thomas start?
You really want to talk about team effect on a player?

I know and I didn't perceive it as an insult to Rose because it's a pretty common phrase. I just don't understand it. I never realized a term for a player should decide exactly how they play. PG/SG/SF/PF/C are all just labels for players on the court. Not what they do for me. If I need my SHOOTING GUARD to be an ELITE DEFENDER rather than a SHOOTER... He's still my SG. Do I call him a "non pure SG" because he focuses on D over O?
Why isn't any other position on the court dissected to such a degree?
-

It's the absolute truth, though. Rondo makes his money with his assist count. Pierce/KG/Allen are the reasons he can drop so many dimes.

So Rose shooting worse this year but getting ~20 more wins was because of him, and only him? You brought up team effect on a player.
I'm done here, you won't listen to whats been said thousands of times before and you aren't going to start now...

Maybe they should go for DWILL and Howard

You lack the ability to comprehend that FG% is NOT the be all end all of the conversation.
Rose upped his efficiency, dropped more dimes, created a 3pt game, improved his defense, and carried an injured team all year. And the reason he shot worse was because he had to take more shots because his TEAM (remember: team effect) could not help distribute the offensive load. Let's be REAL here: He still shot 45% from the field, over 30% from 3, and almost 90% from the line.
YES. YES the wins were BECAUSE of him. And NO you aren't done here because I won't listen. You are done here because you have NOTHING TO ADD.

Yeah, why isn't there a Pure C, pure SG, pure PF?
The point of the game is to put the ball in the rim, there is no pure shit

I would have given it to Dwight McBlocks or Dirk McShoots, but Rose had an unbelievable season. He's the epitome of the word, "phenom."

Well common sense says 22 year old 3rd year players aren't supposed to be better than veterans who have been in the league for 6+ seasons :oldlol:
I think Rose's probable winning of the MVP says more about the league and its stars this year. The veterans didn't take care of business like they should have. Any of those guys could have taken it this year if they had performed to expectations. If Dirk hadn't gone down with injury and the Mavs didn't falter down the stretch perhaps he could have been MVP. If Ginobili stayed consistent with his earlier play maybe he could have been MVP by virtue of the Spurs' record. If Dwight Howard showed up in 4th quarters and lead his team to more wins instead of doing his routine disappearing act maybe he could have been MVP. If Wade, Lebron, and Kobe hadn't lead their teams to multiple losing streaks in embarrassing fashion during the season perhaps they could have been MVP. What it all comes down to is the veterans of the league all f**ked up in a way and rolled out the red carpet to Rose to be the youngest MVP ever.
