inb4 Do it Mitch!
Damn! Big news. If Stern goes cheap and this dude doesn't get a matched offer sheet he's going to find a new squad. Somebody is going to pay him big.
Do it Mitch
inb4 Do it Mitch!
:lol
basketball reasons
surprised nobody said it...
He's played 2 games this season right ...
Offer the max for him or Harden next year, Dan Gilbert, do it.
Kyrie-Gordon/Harden

Why in the world would you give a max deal to Harden?
what are the Clippers' cap situation like now? any chance he ends up back in their 2 spot?
Why in the world would you give a max deal to Harden?
Why not? Harden is one the best max for team like cavs get, he's better than JJ anyway.
U Mad (afraid) OKC fan? :lol
what are the Clippers' cap situation like now? any chance he ends up back in their 2 spot?
CP3, EJ, Butler, Griffin, and DJ would be a dream come true

So the Hornets traded Chris Paul for Aminu, Kaman, and a first round pick? :wtf:
Someone will offer Gordon max. He knows this, and isn't going to take less than max to stay in N.O.
Celtics, lets give him a max contract!!!!!!

What does Indiana's cap space look like? I've always heard that EJ always wanted to return there.
has he played a full season yet? :violin:
He would fit perfectly in the current Wolves.
He's played 2 games this season right ...
This
Check his knees.
has he played a full season yet? :violin:
He's injury prone.
What does Indiana's cap space look like? I've always heard that EJ always wanted to return there.
20ish million to spend. But Hibbert and Hill need extensions. Hill's not gonna break the bank, he won't get some massive raise. Hibbert obviously will.
If he wants the max then no thanks. He's a max level player, the problem is he isn't an actual player all that often.
lolno
what if he settles for less than max?
the Clippers' salary will be at $49,747,045 for the 2012-13 season, which leaves $8,296,955 in cap space, right?
is the max for a player with less than 6 years $9 million or $14 million?
He would fit perfectly in the current Wolves.
This!!!!
I hope this happens
Rubio-Gordon-williams-Love-drummond

Wolves will pick him up...

And the Hornets would pretty obviously match it even if something crazy did happen and he signs and offer sheet that low. Either way, the Clippers are only at ~50 if Mo Williams doesn't pick up his 8.5 mil option. Which he will.
I want to see him in Boston.
damn thats right i forgot
He's a RFA, New Orleans can still match whatever offer is thrown at him right?
1. the Hornets will offer him the same amount in the summer.
2. Gordon agent goes out and see if they can land a contract worth more than the offer and signs.
3. If they can't Hornets win big, but if Gordon finds the contract he's looking for, hornets match.
Hornets can still match any offer to Gordon in the offseason. Just means they won't get a discount. The hornets should not have offered a max deal today (let alone a 5 year one). let the summer market dictate the max and match if necessary. All that new orleans lost today was a chance at a discount gordon for the next four years.

Or you're just speaking in the hypothetical?
Hornets offered 4 yrs a little over 50mil. EJ wanted what he THINKS he could get later 4 yrs/58mil
He was lowballed, but honestly, what good is it to get him signed now when you can do the same deal later and know more about the knee, the team, more trades, THEIR PICKS, etc.?

And cap relief i guess :confusedshrug:
Bulls dump Boozer somewhere and get us Eric Gordon. Pretty please?
Rose,Gordon,Deng,Taj, and Noah with Watson and Rip Hamilton off the bench.

It would be funny if the Nets pick him up in the end, man I am so hopeless for a Nets big three scenario(Dwight-Gordon-Deron). I know its impossible, but hey fans have rights to dream dont they?
:lol
