AD overrated? SuperDuper thinks so

Least impactful stat padder? Can't say I've seen a lot of those but I can see why someone would make that remark about AD. It's an embellishment though.

Embiid is when he's locked in because he has the foot speed to contain guards in open space better than AD can but AD does have that nice vertical leaping ability for highlight blocks. Overall though I'd say AD's impact leaves a lot to be desired.

Not enough is made of Mirotic averaging 20 points when 60% of his shots are deep three pointers, or Jrue Holiday dropping damn near 50 to close out the Blazers in the playoffs, or Rondo having 20 assist games. How many big men had the luxury of having a PG that could give you 20 assists?

He did run into a brick wall in Golden State and there were unfortunate injuries that came about, but if Cousins was never injured then the Pelicans would have never traded for Mirotic (which was a very good move) and let's keep in mind that AD himself has been known to sit out for extended periods of time due to injuries.

I do find it a little funny how Eric Gordon has been far healthier in Houston than he was with the Pelicans. They should probably up their medical staff. Who knows.

As far as AD's game is concerned however, he isn't an explosive enough scorer and he doesn't have a deep offensive repertoire. Draymond has no business guarding him but when you don't have a go to move then you make yourself easier to guard and easier to stop.

Except for the FACT that in the PO's last season, he took only 2-3 shots from deep. Lets not act like 60% of his shots are from 30+ ft. Also, 50% of the shots he took the PO's were 2pt shots. Don't know where you're getting 60% from. Finally, he never came CLOSE to averaging 20 PPG in his entire career. Unless you're talking about the Blazer series, where he was still off by 2 PPG.

Holiday never came CLOSE to dropping "near 50" on the Blazers. He was closer to 35, than he was to 50. That very same game, AD dropped 47/10/1/3 on 77% TS. Pretty much put the Blazers away with 19 points in the 3rd and 14 in the 4th. 33 in the 2nd half. But yeah, Holiday had "damn near 50", when in reality, he scored 41.

AD had 33/18/3/4 on 58% TS that game. The only game of the series which the Pels won. 22 points in the 2nd half to close them out.

It's the fact that he's been parroting that AD is overrated for months upon months [B][U][I]COUPLED WITH THE FACT[/I][/U][/B] that the MOMENT that AD demands a trade and the Lakers are rumored to get him, he starts backtracking and making threads saying AD will be the "GOAT 2nd option" and that he'll be LeBron's scapegoat that gets turned into a jump shooter waiting in the corner and nothing more, basically pumping AD's stock up as high as possible... which is a complete 180 from the bullshit falling out of his mouth less than a week prior.
