Default Re: Great teams are built through the draft are they not?

If fans and management would be patient enough to wait on players to develop, then the draft would always be the best approach. Unfortunately, great draft picks become trade chips, and great draft picks that live up to they hype sometimes wimper until they get paid and put the team in a bad cap situation.

IMO, if everyone wasn't so damn greedy(some greed is fine, its compeditive) then we would see less wasted talent, and better development league-wide. I mean, really?
Some teams have awesome players on the bench, but rarely play them in contract years, because then they wouldn't afford to keep them if they raised their own value. On the other cheek, that player is frustrated and leaves anyways. Granted, it doesn't happen on every team, it's still a conspiracy.
