Default Jimmer Fredette invited to 2011 Draft green room

Jimmer's success at the collegiate level has not fully convinced NBA general managers on his ability to translate his game to the professional level. The doubts center on one thing: defense. GMs wondered if Jimmer could stay toe-to-toe with speedy point guards like Chicago's Derek Rose or the New Jersey Nets' Deron Williams. But after a series of workouts for the New York Knicks, the Indiana Pacers, the Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Kings and the Utah Jazz, Jimmer's stock has risen. His projections have gone from a late first-round pick to as high as seven with the Kings' pick. Utah has picks at Nos. 3 and 12. "People tell you about it and you know what's going on," Jimmer Fredette said. "It's not like you're blind from it. ... I've heard numerous different things. You have no idea what the draft is going to do." Post Star
