Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee on October 7th. He is expected to be sidelined approximately 6-8 weeks.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Benton Emblom at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Bledsoe has been cleared to take part in hydro-cardio therapy and strength work and he is expected to increase his workload by the beginning of the regular season.

A member of the 2010-11 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Second Team, Bledsoe averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 22.7 minutes in 81 games played last season
