Georgetown is going to the Final Four in the ATL and I am nothing but thrilled.
I have often wondered what more I could do to show my support for the Hoya Basketball team, when I stumbled onto a site for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance for each round of March Madness until the Final Four were chosen. Georgetown was nominated twice for Gaming Changing Performances. Nominated in Round 2 against Vanderbilt, when Junior Forward Jeff Green hit an unbelievable, off balance shot with 2.5 seconds left to seal the win and grant Georgetown the first trip to the Elite Eight in a decade. Again in Round 4, against North Carolina, for overcoming an 11-point deficit to tie the game and send it to overtime with a 3-pointer from Jonathan Wallace in the last seconds of regulated play. The game went into overtime where Georgetown dominated for a stunning win over the Tar Heels.
Now it looks like Georgetown has been nominated as one of the finalist in the Pontiac Game Changing Performance Competition. If we win, our team will be announced and rewarded at the National Championship Game. What better way to end the year than to WIN the National Championship and WIN scholarship money for our school overall. You can vote at www.ncaasports.com/pontiac
