You're completely on point. Folks have been assuming every single dunk must be brand new to be appreciated. Not the case.

The gimmicks are flat out embarrassing. The feeling I had watching Kenny Smith interact with contestants was similar to that feeling I get when I'm watching a guy get rejected by the hot girl on TV. It's not real, but it still made me cringe hard.
