It's not just because we lost last night. I've been asking myself this question since long time ago.
We're only 1.5 games ahead of the Bucks. Bucks have the easiest schedule in the league while the Knicks have one of the toughest.
There's a realistic chance we'll miss it.
We play the Bucks one more time. Winner of that game could very well get the last playoff spot.
