Default Re: So... Wth are we going to do during offseason to make sure this won't happen again?

I know everyone is frustrated and upset about how this season turned out, but the truth of the matter is that we're in this position only because of unfortunate injuries which are unpredictable and you can't really be ready for them.

Sure you can plan for things like that to happen, but when the injuries literally effect your top 4-5 players there's not much you can do. Rose with his ACL. Deng with the ongoing wrist. Noah now with his ankle. Rip with his numerous injuries.

We lost our best player in Derrick Rose.

I want to see the Thunder without Durant, the Lakers without Kobe, the Heat without Kobe, the Spurs without Parker... You think any of those teams remain contenders if any of those players are out with season ending injuries? NO. Point blank.

We were a contender and we will continue to be a contender for a long time as long as Rose recovers.

What differs is our opinions on how we can improve this roster until we get guys back and healthy. I think our depth was a little overrated. Sure we have good depth and our bench is better than the majority of other teams but our depth is filled in with guys who are defensively oriented or specialists such as Korver being primarily a shooter or Brewer being primarily a lock down defender. Sure you need guys like this, but what we need to add is a few versatile guys who more of an all around skill set and more offensive minded.
