For me, it doesn't really matter who's at the very end of this teams bench. They probably aren't going to make it in the league anyhow (or at least for very long). People were high on guys like Caracter, Farmar, Yue, Crittenton, Mihm, etc in the past too. They had potential but obviously went nowhere. I think it's fine to have guys with potential at the very end of a bench. The Lakers have Goudelock & Morris so I would highly doubt they would pick up Weems, just saying I wouldn't care if they did. It would be an irrelevant move for the most part.
Lets go back in time, way back to........last season...lol, we had a suspended Metta, an injured Barnes who couldn't play and then Ebanks injured himself and could have been out.......the reality is that sh!t happens even if you are 3 deep at one spot....why put yourself in a position to fail just for indifference on who is at the end of your bench....if you are paying a player...even at a very minimum, get someone who can do SOMETHING identifiable that may help.....be it shooting, defense, rebounding......something........I don't see anything in Weems.
