No its not the same. The game flow is different. The controls are ridiculously different. Playing defense is different. Ability to take your My Player online and battle others be it pick up or Crew is gone. Like it was gone for 2k12.
Calling it terrible for other reasons is one thing. To claim its the same game is false.
