Default OJ Mayo starting slow in preseason

The Mavs signed Mayo to a two-year, $8,220,900 contract back in July, with the second year being a player option that pays him $4,200,900. The Mavs are hoping Mayo can take up the slack left behind when they decided not to re-sign Jason Terry, who eventually inked a free agent contract with the Boston Celtics.

Early returns on Mayo are not good. But the Mavs know it's way too early to make any long-term conclusions.
