Auburn and Texas are two perfect examples of why recruiting rankings don't necessarily matter. Obviously it helps, but if you can't coach that talent, then you're still a mediocre or bad football team.
Auburn getting beat 41-20 by an Ole Miss team with 67 scholarship players and Texas losing 56-8 to Oklahoma. Mack Brown is now 16-14 in his last 30 games and Chizik and Auburn have been pretty much just flatout bad since Cam Newton.
