Shabazz Muhammad to undergo MRI on shoulder
UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad injured his right shoulder during practice and was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam Wednesday evening, the school announced.
Muhammad, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, was the prize recruit this year for UCLA, which landed the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation. His short tenure at UCLA has already been tumultuous.
He is currently the subject of an NCAA review regarding his amateur status and has not yet been declared eligible to play this season. UCLA opens play Nov. 9 against Indiana State.
