They should just do what my wife and I did.

We both went through a book of baby names.

Wife picked 20 names she liked
I picked 20 names I liked.

She picked 5 names out of my 20 that she liked.
I picked 5 names out of her 20 that I liked.

Between those 10 names we both made a choice of what we both liked the most.

If you can't make a choice in the 10 names, pull one out of a hat.

Problem solved.
