He's high based on his impact in the era he played in. You keep harping on how long he played his total career stats when top lists arent always based on just that. Another reason why Earl Campbell is on top 10 lists. The period in which he played he dominated. Just because a guy compiles more stats than the other doesnt mean he was the better player.

Bo Jackson might be the GOAT, but due to a lack of resume aka career, you can't rank him high unless it is just being based on one year or prime years.
Also to me the current era is harder for RBs than Gales era...it is much harder for a RB to win MVP today and every down backs are becoming extinct...
