Rent is expensive mang, be prepared to dish out $1k/month atleast.

Look into areas like Astoria(which is in Queens) that are cheaper, be used to taking the subway daily and don't expect to have a car. Shit is expensive here. Avoid renting in shitty areas at all costs.

Are you going to work here as well?
