If you watch the play where Jason Richardson got hurt, it was his fault. He landed and then took a couple steps backward before falling on the cameraman. You've been in the league this long and you don't realize there are guys there?

I shattered my wrist in high school sprinting back for a blocked shot and catching myself on the wall because the wall was way too close to the basket, but I still don't think the photographers are a problem.
