Bale is playing perfectly, his number one priority is to hug the touchline and send in crosses, but if defenders overplay it he cuts in and usually is able to make something happen. Basically at his best he's undefendable, apart from hacking him down, which leads to him getting injured so much.

Sometimes his touch is heavy and makes him lose possession in tight spots but he's so fast and dangerous he makes up for it.

Develop in the other direction how?

He already can beat his man whenever he wants and his crossing is already the best in the world. He is not the best at tracking back but puts in decent effort. How can he improve as a winger?

You are insane, he played 36 regular season games last season.

And he has already scored as much as last season, in only half the games. With only a single assist to go along with it.

Develop in the other direction: more crosses less shots. Easy. More focused on his wide play.
