Knicks host 150 children from Sandy Hook school
The Knicks tried to put smiles on the faces of members of a struggling community this week.
They hosted 150 children, their families and teachers from Sandy Hook Elementary School at Saturday night's game against the Kings. Children from the Newtown (Conn.) Choir also sang the national anthem and received a heartfelt ovation.
The Knicks held a "Family Fun Day" event Tuesday at the Newtown Youth Academy for 400 children and their families from the school, where 20 children and six adults were shot and killed in December.
