Re: 2012-13 regular season!
As for Korver, the former Jazz shooting guard was thrilled to be back in the
state where he played for 2½ years from 2007-10 after being traded from
Philadelphia for Gordan Giricek.
"I always love coming back to Utah for a lot of reasons. I still have a lot
of friends here, a lot of good memories," the 31-year-old said. "It's a fun
arena to play in. It's always good to come back in Utah."
Korver, a free agent this summer, even dropped hints that he wouldn't mind
returning in a Jazz uniform some day.
Asked about his impending free agency, he looked into a TV camera and said,
"I am a free agent this summer — free agent this summer."
Korver, traded to Atlanta from Chicago last summer, smiled.
"I mean, yeah. I would definitely listen to Utah if they came asking," the
10-year NBA veteran said. "I have a lot of respect for the organization and the
Miller family, and it was just a great place to live life and play
Added Korver: "I loved waking up and seeing the mountains every day. It's
just a good lifestyle here in Utah."
I was just saying for the right price he would be a nice guy to have back. Only reason they let him go was the price tag and his price has went down I imagine. He doesn't have to spot up to shoot 3's like Foye and Marvin and can play the mid range game that's such a big part of the Jazz offense too which Foye can't. He made an effort defensively anyway. Sloan loved him too much at times.
