This was an incredibly shrewd and bold move by HBO and as a boxing fan, I'm glad that they're going to stop showing some of the awful mismatches they've put on in recent years just to appease Al Haymon.
Mayweather was Haymon's bargaining chip and once he left for Showtime, HBO basically said "**** it, we're not going to keep paying millions for these one-sided fights." Good for them.
