Numbers are inflated in today's NBA due to pace and rule changes, you can't do a pure stat comparison like it's a 1/1. Brunson is 20th in ppg and that's only among the players who qualify with KD, AD and Bran etc not on the list. Starks' average in '94 puts him in that same ballpark as only 20 guys averaged 19+ ppg who qualified in '94.

It's an odd comparison to make. Starks was prototype streaky shooter and a "star" because the Knicks were on TV a lot and he was their second best scorer, not because he was an elite guard or any kind of threat to the dominance of Jordan. Other than MJ and Pip the best wings were Mitch Richmond, Clyde Drexler, Nique and others.
