he both didn’t have the skill set and also didn’t want the sacrifice of box score statistics
bron plays for the box score not to win

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say every single game boston has played this playoff hasn’t been a good watch for an objective basketball viewer (no team involved in the series just trying to catch a good game viewer)

It's genuinely an embarrassment the path the Celtics have had to the finals. Something has to be changed to prevent this happening again. It makes the whole playoffs a farce.

Except down the stretch of close games when Russ was nowhere near a top 5-10 level player, even in his prime. Just the opposite. He was like the anti Luka/Kyrie. An absolute liability guaranteed to **** it up when things got tight.

Kyrie has been great. I agree on the on paper thing but Dallas role players have shown some grit. It feels like they are playing at a sum better than their parts at the moment and clicking a bit. I really like their format of good athleticism and defense paired with luka and kyrie being the closers. That combo is pretty insane when it’s down the...

Had a title run with OKC when he was 23, wins title in most other years.
Averaged 35/11/8 vs Bucks in 21 and likely wins title if Irving isn't hurt
And now he's just old. You put 25 year old KD with current Irving and solid role players and it's an easy title run.

An African American man who lives in Korea told me this. I tend to agree with him.
I think the problem with blacks in the US or Americans in general is they have never really been in the world and thus very ignorant on how much more racist it is. It's relatively paradise in the US.

I mean Kyrie has improved this year too, can’t ignore best defense of his career. Dallas is not too talented on paper outside their top 2 though their defense has been elite Guess it’s just more of an indictment on kd who only had title runs with gs or moderate success playing with a top 5-10 player in prime Russ. Downgrade to just an elite...

For sure. Keep in mind tho Wade played in the lowest scoring era. He didnt have to keep pace with teams scoring 120 a night. Wade today would have to either make or generate more threes to be a superstar. And Im not saying he couldnt but would he be able to do so at a level that makes him top 5? Who knows. Wings are more athletic, longer defenders...

He won with lebron at his peak and is helping luka, who averaged 34/10/9 this season (mvp in almost any other season in history) make the finals and lose to Boston.
1 ring, and several horrible seasons leading teams nowhere with a ton of horrible press and ridiculous distractions.
He's no Pippen, that's for sure.

Nah it’s alright. Lebron’s praises were meant for all to sing. The more exaltation of his comically impossibly high status, the better. When Lebron is held up on high, we all win.

It clearly shows that they tried to backdoor him, and later on they tried to save face by putting the blame on the GM that they failed to re-sign in that off-season, which resulted in them messing up all those potential trades while also pissing off both Lebron and Kyrie in the process.
Truth is that the Cavs' org massively fumbled the Bron &...

I agree he’s more a combo guard rather than a true point. Even that being said he has surprised me with how well he has managed. He’s not a savant but he has some cleverness in his vision and game that could benefit a lot with a little polish. I don’t think he will ever be a facilitator like luka/harden/james but he can be a wade type guy where he...

I agree hes gonna continue to evolve into an elite player, but I think they theyre gonna have to use a different template than what most teams are doing in terms of using their best player as the primary playmaker. I think in today’s NBA you need someone big enough to pass over the defense, or in the case of Curry/Irving someone small and quick...

He hasn't caught a lucky break once in his career in the Playoffs. That's really what it boils down to. He's faced so many great opponents in the 2nd round and usually it's him or someone on his team that's injured which tilts the series in the opponents' favor. Also, he had to endure Bum Simmons for all those years who cost him at least one...

You are not good at this. :lol
Anyway, Kyrie is 32 now. People who are humble and open to growing tend not to stay stagnant in their mindset and attitude. And also what 1987_Lakers said. I'm sure LeCounsellor helped him.

Half those years in the EC looked like this current one. I'm not giving him flowers for beating injured & talentless teams on the road to the Finals.
Truth is that 3Ball has a point with Lebron's style of play not being the optimal one for winning championships. Constantly dominating the ball is generally not a winning recipe if we look at the...

If Reggie is one thing, it’s a phony 80’s LA MF,
Who “will say anything” and play ball with every narrative,
And never dare be anything but a company man,
If it means he gets to stay rich & hang in them hollyweird circles.
I don’t hate him, but I can’t respect him.

A big part of it that he said (but we already knew) in the press conference after game six…he enjoyed a lot of trips to the finals as a young player and took it for granted a bit. he got a bit spoiled. he has such insane talent it seemed to him like he belonged there every time and he will simply wind up there every time. he had to cut his teeth...

Irving individually played better his 2nd season than his 1st, but they lost a bunch of games trying to incorporate Gordon Hayward into that offense. Remember, they added both Irving and Hayward in 2018, and Hayward got injured 1st game of the season.
Gordon Hayward was terrible once he was healthy enough to play again as he made them worse on...
