Yea... role players that shoot 3s and space the floor for stars are essential but you want your 1 and 2 option players playing to their strengths. Imagine if every shot Butler and Bam took was a 3. I guarantee their efficiency doing that would be less than shooting mid range jumpers and drawing fouls / getting FTs inside.

That series was a pretty extreme outlier for Van Exel. Dillon Brooks had a similar series once. It happens.
