Jack McClinton
Hopefully he gets picked... he's one of my fav college players..
Does he fit in the NBA? where do you project him to be taken if it does happen? |
Re: Jack McClinton
Reminds me of of Guillermo Diaz.

Re: Jack McClinton
hmm? don't know him.
I like his 3pt shooting ability, could serve as an Eddie House type of player. Made 7 threes against UNC late in the college season.. |
Re: Jack McClinton
He was also a high scoring combo guard that came out of Miami. Diaz was more athletic though and people compared him to Steve Francis.

But the one thing that seperates McClinton from Eddie House as a NBA prospect is the fact McClinton can create his own shot, hes just undersized and not a great athlete by NBA standards for a SG. Hes also 24, which changes the view on his potential in terms of NBA standards. |
Re: Jack McClinton
Eddie House created shots for himself all the time at ASU.

when did he enter college? that's kinda old for a college senior.. |
Re: Jack McClinton

House spends so much time on the perimeter its hard for him to even get to the free throw line. |

Re: Jack McClinton
ok that makes more sense...
who would you compare him to?? or is he a cross better playerS? |

But McClinton will have to come into the NBA as a role player like a spot shooter. |
Re: Jack McClinton
do you see him being taken if at all?
no one is really giving him any mention in the mock drafts.. |

Teams would rather pass on him and draft a Euro prospect in round 2 to develop, and try to sign him for summer league. Another player in Jack's situation is Lester Hudson, an equally talented undersized SG who also is older than other prospects. |
Re: Jack McClinton
where is Hudson from ??
do you think McClinton would end up overseas or in the D-League |

McClinton will probably end up in the D-League, his style of play wouldn't fit in Europe. |
