Vladimir Radmanovic
Does Vladimir Radmanovic get a ring or was he traded too early in the season? Do the Lakers get a title if the kept Vladimir Radmanovic and not done the trade? I think he could have helped stretch the defense of opponents better with his distance shooting.

Re: Vladimir Radmanovic
I think it depends if the owner wants to...
Melvin Ely got a ring from the Spurs in 07 even though he didn't play any playoff games and only 6 regular season games. Ring for Mihm too I guess. |

It was one of those trades that didn't really make a huge impact on the end result. Although Shannon Brown did play well in stages in the post season. |

It certainly did. Through the first 3 rounds Shannon was the best point guard on the court for the Lakers. |
Re: Vladimir Radmanovic
I was under the impression that the only players to receive rings were the current roster, so the 12 guys who played in the Finals plus Yue and Morrison.
That turned out to be a very astute trade from Kupchak. The fact that we were able to dump Radmanovic and his inconsistent, soft, defensively-challenged play and wind up with a player who contributed in the playoffs and was only supposed to be the throw-in to the deal, was superb. Who knows if the Lakers would have won the title with Radmanovic? Probably. We're in a much better position now though. Good times. |
Re: Vladimir Radmanovic
there's no way Vlad Rad gets a ring. He's a bobcat.

This question comes up a lot, so I looked it up --- and all the information I found says that all the players that played for the championship winning team that year will get a ring, even if they were no longer on the team during the finals. They are supposed to be presented with the ring the following year, the next time their new team plays at the home of the championship winning team. In this case, Radmanovic and Mihm would get a ring... |
Re: Vladimir Radmanovic
Vlad should get a ring but Mihm hardly played so he shouldn't.

Re: Vladimir Radmanovic
it's generally voted on by the players...

Yeah but do you think the Lakers would not have won that ring without Shannon? Shannon did play really well, but I do not believe that his impact was something that could not have been overcome if he wasn't here. I personally think the Lakers would have still ended up winning it all. Vlad's minutes were pretty much given to Trevor before he was traded so Vlad probably wouldn't have played much to begin with. |
