hammond - exec of year (patch work roster 2010/11
why - not because of his draft picks ... but because he acquired Stackhouse and John Salmons and got into the playoff's because of their leadership.
Skiles - was a no brainer to play these guys at the right times ... what will hammond do with REDD .. when REDD is done with his rehab.. that will define his exec duties .... discuss |
Re: hammond - exec of year
Ill roll with this. I see the Bucks being competitive in the East for the next couple years once Bogut gets back because of recent acquisitions and the way they have built for the future and the now. Excellent job.

the below article vena cava from Hammond
Bucks' patchwork roster to continueEmail Print Comments2 Share Retweet5 Associated Press MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Bucks general manager John Hammond relied on Brandon Jennings, Andrew Bogut and 17 other players to make the playoffs for the first time in four years. He says that patchwork approach will have to continue next season. Milwaukee is still bogged down by a bloated budget left when Hammond took over two years ago. The NBA's executive of the year this season proved he could cut costs and produce a relevant team. The Bucks went 46-36 and took the Atlanta Hawks to a Game 7 in the first round of the playoffs. Now, Hammond will have to replace or re-sign half his roster this offseason. He says it won't be easy because the Bucks will pay nearly $30 million to an injured Michael Redd, backup center Dan Gadzuric and backup Charlie Bell. ==================== Should we all ask or pray that Redd says I quit ? |
