Did the Kings give up too soon on Hawes?

I am curious if the Kings have given up too soon on Spencer Hawes? Having just played the one year of college ball makes one wonder if he physically is still coming into the maturing process. One thing the trade does do is free up some addition cap space for next year. Dalemberts $12M comes off and depending on the cap they could have some big money to spend.

They might have givin up to soon. But they did see the direction. He was goin in and didn't think it was what we needed. They might regret getting rid of him.

I thought he had potential but sources report that Hawes was being stubborn on Westphal's system.

Dalembert should have been package with a conditional draft pick though.

HAWES is a player that may not have talent like Bogut , but will take that long to develop (5 years)
Big men that are signing on young , take sometime to develop in the NBA.
I see the Kings being competitive in 2-3 seasons.
