The Official 2011 NBA Draft Thread - Tonight, 7:30 PM EST, ESPN

It's a TV watching marathon of NBA Draft goodness. Four and a half hours of half-assed analysis and speculation.

Sheer entertainment of NBA analysts pretending to know college players strengths and weaknesses.

I go 364 days of never hearing the word "wingspan" but I make up for that all in one night.

Everyone takes a drink when anyone on ESPN says the word "upside".

Also, I only see this guy one time a year. And for some reason, I care what he has to say:

Does the Draft itself actually start up around 8? Or does the coverage begin and the first selection roll out around 7:45ish?

Anyone recording this? I want to watch it but have to work. And I rather watch it then read about who drafted who and who traded who. Plus I wanna hear what they say about the prospects.

I demand the Chuckster to be on to make fun of LeBron and the Knicks.

"Look at these Knick fans getting all excited, thinking they can win a championship. Now they draft this Lithuavian kid Johnny Monjvwkzudjxhdf. He donīt play no defence. Let me tell you sumthin, their defence is turrible, Ernie. Can I call you Ernie?"

I'm really curious to see who they go with here. If there are no surprises in the top 2, do they go with Kanter the promising big even though they are pretty stacked with forwards and centers? Do they trust Devin Harris enough to pass on Brandon Knight? Or do they see PG as a top priority and are looking into Knight or Walker? Or maybe they go European early? So many options.

i'm looking forward to this like the playoffs, which is pretty rare for me. then again i'm intrigued with the Cav's picks and them rebuilding...

not to mention all of the ridiculous amount of trade talk leading up to it right now
