Damn I just love Sonny Weems. I remember his rookie year I kept saying he deserved minutes but he didn't get them til he got traded to Milwaukee (and then to Toronto). I remember him getting in garbage minutes late in one game and Anthony Carter threw him an alley oop and he missed the dunk but it was absolutely amazing.

He'll probably only play a year or 2 overseas. I think he just did this because he's been playing for 2nd round rookie contract scale for his career, so he really wanted to get some money.

Very odd decision.

He was well on his way carving out a nice spot for himself in the NBA, albeit on the terrible Raps. I also agree he doesn't have a very suitable skillset for FIBA ball.

well shit no opt-out clause to return to the NBA if the lockout ends. StroShow can kiss another favorite player good bye to the NBA.

Good decision. With James Johnson in the roster, he would ride the Raptors' bench for the whole season if he stayed.
