Tons of players are expected to show up in NYC for the Friday owners/players meeting

Not sure that's going to affect the positions owners are taking, but it can't hurt to have stars involved

Is Lebron taking his talents to NY?

Part of me wants to attend it, but the problem is you get there, get some interviews, and then sit and wait for literally 2-5 hours until they come out again

Jeff, I've been clicking on ads on this site a lot lately because some dude made a thread about how people should stop coming here and I just wanted to spite him.

You're welcome.

PS: I assume that means I will never get banned? Don't worry, I won't post any tranny pictures. That aint my style.

You can imagine the drama in that building.

Dan Gilbert vs Lebron part 2

:lol :lol :lol

Hopefully by having the stars there it'd mean that "Hey...you want us or we can just go play for the Canadian Basketball Association'

The big name players should have been more involved from the beginning. They are the guys really that are affected. They are the guys that are costing the owners the most money. The committee is Fisher, Keyon Dooling, Matt Bonner, Mo Evans, James Jones, Roger Mason, Etan Thomas, Theo Ratliff and CP3. Of all those guys only CP3 is a guy who makes huge $$. lol, those other guys combined don't make what Kobe makes alone. I agree with Stephen A Smith's stance on that the superstars making a killing need to be more involved. They are the face of the NBA.

Actually it's the mid level guys who are getting overpaid. The super stars are underpaid. Lebron, Kobe, Dwight, Wade are all worth far more than they currently make.

You are right, what I was trying to imply are guys who make the most money in the NBA. The elite are well worth their coin, but the guys who make similar money but under perform kill the teams they play for. Still though, guys like Kobe, Dwight, Wade should be more involved in this process.

Well those are the guys who run the league. They are the indispensable ones, and the only ones who matter. Stern could care less about the mid level guys going to Europe or Asia. But if Lebron, Kobe or Dwight say they are going, then Stern is gonna start shitting bricks. Those guys should have more of a presence in these talks, I agree.

who should be involved in only the top NBA owners, the people who make money or who run their teams effectively. They drive the league, the Lakers, the Celtics, the Spurs, yes, even my Knicks who make a shitload of money. The guys who make zero dollars should not be driving the discussion. If you are in a market that is impossible to make money in, you are a moron for buying that team, and should not be driving any discussion about the future of the league.
