What do you expect from Tyreke Evans this season?
 

After being only one of an elite few to average 20-5-5 in his rookie season, Tyreke Evans followed up his success with an injury filled, disappointing season. Could it have been a Sophmore Slump, which is common among NBA players, or will he not get back to the 20-5-5 success he had in his rookie year?

It's hard for me to tell considering a shortened season, and the Kings back court depth. Salmons, Thorton and Jimmer will all take shots and minutes away from Tyreke.

Does anyone here see him putting up the same numbers or topping those numbers from his rookie season?

I think he definetly has the talent to top those numbers but I'm not sure he'll have the oppurtunity because of past injuries and competition for minutes.

I think he has immense talent and I hope he can get back to 20-5-5 form. The Kings are a team that is slowly getting decent depth and young talent, and their future is bright. I like how he fits in there.

So I expect him to do well. I think his peak will be better(statistically) than 20-5-5.

At least 20-5-5. I seriously think his injury really took away from what he could do last season. I definitely see him going back to his 20-5-5 and even more with better shooting.

Elite? He's never been elite. he's still yet to put up an efficient season healthy or not and his defense is crap. He has a decent all around game with the rebounding and play making, but he takes some pretty bad shots. He's more in the Michael Beasley range right now more than anything.

I think he'll mirror his rookie season numbers.

I expect him to be forced to dribble with his left hand again. And faring better.

If he is to ever take the next step to superstar player, he should average 25+ this year.

Agreed. This is his 3rd season so it's time for him to show the league how good he really is. Plus is team just isn't that damn good so he should have ample opportunity to score buckets.

The Kings are "not expected" to offer Tyreke Evans a contract extension.
Evans has been the subject of some trade speculation, and the player who was once viewed as the future of the franchise appears to be falling out of favor. Evans is eligible for a contract extension this offseason, but it doesn't sound as if the Kings are in any sort of rush to lock him up.

I don't expect much because he seems to need to be ball-dominant to put up big numbers. The kings are kind of jammed at the PG position though. So if Reke is playing SG or SF I don't think he'll have a great season.
If he's on the trading block, Bulls might be wise to pick him up to play PG until Rose returns. Hinrich and Nate Rob are not going to fill the scoring deficit.
