Best Trade Ever

Obviously Francis and CWebb are both out so...

Knicks Give
Francis
Jerome James

Knicks Get
CWebb
Nuggets Pick from AI trade

With two pick Knicks draft-

Dominic James-PG Marquette
Corey Brewer- SF Florida

Webber comes off the books, dumping the salaries of Jerome and Steve. We get anoother solid rookie..

Makes sense if Weber has an expiring contract.

As long as he never wears a Knick uniform.

Better yet turn him into another draft pick. Even a second rounder.

Just please get rid of the dead beats on this team, they're a cancer.

wutaguy - saves the knicks franchise by destroying the 76rs...

With those two bums there is no way that they will give us the pick from the Iverson trade.

Do you think the knicks would draft a pg like james even tho we have nate...they are both similar but james is more of a pg then nate but nate is a a better scorer... The kid from florida is a freshman right? i think so...but we have too many 3's so i doubt we will draft him but i think we should get a shot blocker and rebounder who can come off the bench for Curry,Frye,Lee...cuz that should be our front line for the next 10 years... Curry is the most questionable for me since he's the one dimensional one but w/e everyone gets all emotional when i bash curry for his lack of defense..

I agree we need a REAL pg...unlike marbury,nate,and crawford...
but since we have those players would we draft another pg???

I think we should draft... a real 1 and a 5 or
a defensive 2(Alando Tucker) and a 5.
Either one we draft either a 1 or 2 would have to be able to shoot the ball to help Curry.

No way the sixers to that. They are positioned very well to rebuild in one year basically. I think they got the better of the iverson trade.

They will have a top 3 pick (Their own), and 2 other pics in a strong draft. And the way denver is playing they may have another good pick.

I love iverson, but him and carmelo may not make the nuggets a dominant power out west. and end of the season the knicks may actually be in a better cap situation than the nuggets. As crazy as that sounds its true. They wil have 4 maxed out guys. Kenyon, Nene, Melo, and Iverson. And camby is not too far behind.

But without the pick i still make that trade. It frees up a roster spot for us, and weber will play more minutes than JJ.

No thanks, i dont need another horrible ballhog on my team. I'll keep Francis and Jerome on my team.

jjswifty 01-10-2007 04:36 PM

Wouldnt it be funny if Wutaguy (the OP) was Isiah Thomas looking for advice on a forum.

Nygher 01-10-2007 04:46 PM

C-Dubs contract still has two years on it so you'd be paying him for nothing for two seasons while and I'm pretty sure that getting rid of A.I. then bringing in The Franchise would be going the oposite direction that Philly is trying to go in.

knickscity 01-10-2007 05:54 PM

won't happen

ALBballer 01-10-2007 11:05 PM

I think the best deal for us would be if we got Jermain O'Neal somehow. We seriously need a shot blocking presence and if we could get him for Frye, Crawford, and Rose, we would be pretty damm complete.

Don Che 01-11-2007 01:19 AM

I couldnt do it

JO is great and all but I feel like Frye is just fine for us and is a better teamate. I feel like him Lee and Q are the players we need to build around cuz of there work ethic. Crawford is streaky but when he's on...no one can gaurd him and to be honest i would like to see him be the pg after marbury leaves(if he ever does).. He's TO prone at times but hes a natural pg. He can play D and shoot the outside shot for Curry and they both play well together.

bigdaddybluesman 01-11-2007 07:02 AM

I like the team the way it is.

We have a rotation and stability.

Yes there are a few things that need to improve but they are.

I don't think this team will ever be a great shot blocking team but if they play the intense high energy defense they need to, blocking shots is not as important.

The weakness on this team right now is help defense and shot blocking. I see a big improvement on the defensive end and they are helping each other and talking much more than ever before.

The next step is to get the bigs into that dominating mentality, that brings the shot blocking. Refusal to let people into your paint.
