Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
Wrong. It's Lakers 1st rounder+Fisher for Jordan Hill. This is a pointless move. Fisher was the veteran leader with championship experience. Even as a bench player that's more valuable than a backup to Gasol+Bynum that will never play. He's a capable big with upside.. but far from a game changer.

Sweet, Jordan Hill wasn't developing for us. Paying for a first round pick ain't too bad.

Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
I was hoping fisher and kobe would retire together in LA after a few years. They came onto the lakers as rookies and grew up together through 5 championships and I wanted to see them retire together.
Best of luck to fish. Although he wasn't great in his last years, he was still a big part of the team. He was the heart and co leader of this team. Hopefully he will retire and come back to the lakers next season for a limited bench role or even some kind of coaching job. |
