Chris Paul 2013

Thoughts? Analysis? How can it happen?

I for one think it can happen with either a trade to shed salary, or restructuring of contracts.

Re: Chris Paul 2013

dont see it happening, clips will give him a max and he cant come as a free agent, plus, any sign and trade after draft day results in less money in a sign and trade so for chris paul to cash out, it has to be during the season. only way to get chris paul is if he pulls a dwight midway through the season and forces his way to us. theres no reason for him to do that cus he already has a good team there.

Felton has to have a good year. At least one good enough to make him an asset. We're probably going to lose Chandler and most likely Amare too. After watching the NBA the last 2-3 years I've concluded, NO trade is impossible. Look at the Dwight trade.

Sterling still does not want to spend.

He'll let Chris walk before ever trading him for Amare.

CP3 would literally have to be on some "melo trade" stuff....amped by 10 for this to happen.

I should have clarified. Just because Amare is IN the trade, doesnt mean he's going to LA. I think it would more than likely be a 3+ team trade. Chandler would probably be the one going to the Clippers...yet again.

We're not getting CP3.

That was the benefit of the doubt part.

Sterling surely can't do it for Tyson, at least Amare could be touted as a star.

Deandre and tyson are similar players, might as well stay with the younger of the two.

Not really. Only similarities are that both of them are tall and can only dunk the ball on offense.
Tyson is a much better defender and is a leader on the court unlike DeAndre who's average defender at best and is nowhere close to being a leader.

I would much rather have Tyson than DeAndre Jordan.

Clutch, who's talking about what we want?:lol Even if this were possible you won't take Deandre along with CP3?

The post is about what Sterling would want.

He is a good defender though, just needs to chill with falling for the fakes, no different than Chandler constantly picking up silly fouls.

Leadership is not a talent, it comes with age usually.

I don't think he's a good defender. He's good at blocking shots and that's about it.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, If we traded Chandler for Jordan, I'd be just fine with it. He's younger, more athletic, a better shot blocker and if I'm not mistaken, slightly cheaper. I wouldnt bat an eye.

Tyson is still clearly a better player. Also we're way over the cap so a difference of a few millions doesn't have any effect. We still wouldn't have cap space.

Tyson might be overrated in general but here (Knicks board) he's being underrated.

Tyson missed 4 games in the 2011-12 season. Knicks allowed 119 points to Milwaukee, 118 to San Antonio, 112 to Atlanta and 84 to Charlotte in those 4 games. That's an average of 108.3 points allowed. Knicks average for the season: 94.7 (would have been even lower if those 4 games weren't included).

You know what you're getting with Tyson, he's rated pretty consistent everywhere.

He's a "final piece" type of player, the one who puts a team over the top.
