Jeff Teague further validates that Larry Drew is one of the worst coaches in the NBA

So Larry Drew is finally forced to feature Jeff Teague on offense due to injures and Josh Smith just going full retard early on and getting benched.

So what does Jeff Teague do against a Kyrie Irving?

27/8.

Dear Larry Drew go away and never come back-sincerely Hawks fans.

That actually doesn't mean anything. He was the worst rated defender in the league last season.:lol

But do agree that Teague has got to get more involved on offense, though.

Yeah, I like the highlighting of "against Kyrie Irving"... That hurts your case, if anything. :oldlol:

But, I do think Teague is a nice player. The Hawks actually have a nice young team. They are just missing 'something' which prevents them from being on that elite tier.

No.. the problem isn't Teague not being aggressive the problem is that LD thinks trying to play iso ball with Josh and Al, and then once we get in a hole he thinks bringing in Korver and Lou to chuck 3s is another good idea.

The problem is Teague is the 3rd scoring option, and when Lou is in he's the 4th.

You could say that for like 80% of the teams that aren't elite. It doesn't really mean anything.

No, because the vast majority of teams in the league do not have the nice young pieces that Atlanta has... And most teams in the league aren't 18-9.

Teague, Horford, Smith and Williams. That is a pretty nice foursome.

Depends how you define "something". Is that "something" an elite top 5-8 player? Talking like a Bron, Durant, Wade, Kobe, Dwight, Paul, or Melo-like player? If so, wouldn't Indiana, Brooklyn, Boston, Houston, Denver, Golden State, Chicago, Memphis, Clippers, and maybe Milwaukee and Philly potentially all become contending teams.

You certainly define something as more than Joe Johnson, so are you talking about guys like Stephen Curry, Westbrook, Al Jefferson, Marc Gasol level players? If that's the case, then I'd somewhat agree with you, but then they still wouldn't be contenders.

Cause really, a lot of teams have "nice pieces" but if you define something as a great player.. then all of those teams probably get propelled to contending status, regardless if they're not 18-9.

You put Marc Gasol on this team and they're definitely a contender in the East. A frontcourt of Gasol, Horford and Josh Smith could really exploit Miami's weaknesses. With the Teague/Williams combo then complimenting in the backcourt along with good role players like Kyle Korver, that would be a really nice team. Yeah, that's the kind of "something" I'm talking about.
