Ty Lawson named conference player of week for Nuggets
 

Coming off a big week, including the game-winning shot Friday night against Oklahoma City, Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson was named the NBA's Western Conference player of the week, it was announced Monday.

Lawson averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals as the Nuggets went 3-0 with wins against the Lakers and at Portland. He had 22 points and eight assists against the Lakers and 30 points (12 in the fourth quarter) and nine assists against Portland.
