that was actually pre-sound garden and pre-pearl jam. some of them were members of mother love bone when the lead singer died, and they picked up eddie vedder and some others and did the temple of the dog tribute album. then they split off into sort of the seattle group and the la group, one led by eddie and the other by chris cornell. and that is my court mandated seattle music scene circa 1990 explanation of the day.

I second GoBB, Brooklyn's Finest 1st to come to mind, Nas and AZ done so many songs together hard to think of Life's a * as a collaboration. Also, Blackstar's Respiration ft. Common is a kickass song. As much as I like Cornell and Soundgarden, I never cared much for Temple of the Dog, probably because Pearl Jam guitarist is weaksauce compared to Kim Thayil.

Forgot all about Renegade. Was definately into that a year ago, and it just seemed to fly off the radar.

Stefani/Akon MUST be mentioned. And I really can't capitilize that "must" enough.

Edit: Seriously though, I'm listening to Renegade now. LOVE this Em line (always have)...

To shatter the picture in which of that as they paint me
as a monger of hate and Satan a scatter-brained atheist
But that ain't the case, see it's a matter of taste
We as a people decide if Shady's as bad as they say he is
Or is he the latter - a gateway to escape?
Media scapegoat, who they can be mad at today

Brilliant.
