I met Bogut the other day

He was in melbourne training at the king club, where my friends and i always go to play...There are four courts there, court 1 has been named "court Bogut" because i think he started to play basketball there....They had the court closed off with curtains while he worked out.

My friends and i had to take a peep through the curtains though....He saw us and shot us a glance that scared the hell out of me.....He must be pissed off with people always watching him.

Later, i think he felt bad so he came over to say hi, which was really nice of him... He is bigger than i could imagine a person could be.

I didn't like him much before but now i think hes a champ

He scored 14 points for Australia against New Zealand in a recent match.

I heard Bogut hunts crocadiles during the summer. Did you ask him about that? Thanks for sharing - any Bucks news is nice, since the Milwaukee media doesn't cover the team.

adamcz 07-13-2006 11:55 PM

I actually didn't hear that specifically about Bogut, but I heard that all Australians do, so I assume that includes him.

Hate to screw up this topic but how hard is it to hunt a friggin croc? What a bunch of pansies. You get in the water, wrestle a croc and kill it? Ok, I'll give you that. But the punk way? Nah, people who do it are things that would get me banned for saying.

Back to the topic. How tall was he? Physically intimidating in size or not as big as you anticipated?

I'm not at my home computer, so I can't photoshop Bogut's face :(

We dont hunt crocodiles...In fact i've lived here all my life and have never seen one....and while were on the topic we dont ride kangaroos to school either!

He wasnt with anyone, just shooting free throws from what i saw, but he was there when we arrived so he might have been there for a while with a trainer ..... We all just said hi and that we thought he did well last season...I think if we werent all so intimidated by him and asked him a few questions he might have stayed a while...It would have been awesome to shoot some jumpers with him, but we all just froze and he said "I'll let you get back yo your game"

I wish i could have that time over again.

You try and tell yourself that hes just another person....but when you see this guy whos on T.Y all the time playing with the best nasketballers in the world..you cajnt help nut be starstruck

Hes probably as big as you would expect a 7' athlete to be but when hes standing in front of you he is a friggin monster.

I read an article about how Bogut once got jumped by a gang of 4 kangaroos, and had to box for his life. They were punching him from all directions, and this is where he got his crazy court vision from. In the end he beat the crap out of two of them, and then the other two ran off scared. What do you mean you never saw a croc? WTF.

Are there a lot of Mormons in Australia? Shawn Bradley spent years there converting the Aborigines to Mormon, so I would imagine there's a pretty high percentage. Unless he's a complete failure.
