Will the Wolves make the playoffs this year?

Are Mike James and Randy Foye the keys to making the playoffs this year for the Wolves?

jamal 07-19-2006 06:06 PM

no, there's too much talent in the west. every team that made the playoffs last year looks to be contending again, and there's still teams like HOU, GS and NOK and even the Jazz that have the potential to break thru. only 8 spots. its doubtful. in the east they'd def. make it.

NBAfan32 07-19-2006 10:29 PM

No. They might try to fight for the last spot but even that is a slim chance.

hawkfan 07-19-2006 11:26 PM

Will KG ask for a trade then with the indication that he might opt out if he isn't moved?

Yes please make a trade thread about it.

If KG is good as they say, then this Wolves team should atleast make the playoffs. Kobe took that crappy Laker squad to the playoffs last year, no reason KG shouldn't be able to carry this team.

Kobe's Laker team=KG's TWolve team

The difference in having a coach who can coach.

Foye, Davis, James and Garnett are goin to have to lead us.

thats a nice little core, 4 players(Foye will be good) who can night in night out drop 20 or more..

and we all know what happened last time the wolves had 3 players who avgd 15 points or more...

You think it can work?

CT: Blount (argh)/ Griffin (argh)
PF: Garnett/ Madsen
SF: Hassell/ ?
SG: Davis/ Foye
PG: James/ Jaric/ Hudson

James and Davis co-existing with Foye in the backcourt? I really don't think it'll work. 3 chuckers.

all scorers which we needed badly, think we avd like 91 ppg last season.

They need a center first, then they might have a chance. But as of right now almost everyone else in the West is improving and Mike James and Randy Foye won't be able to make up for all the losses they had last season. And they dont have many pieces to trade for another center either, other then maybe Blount and Jaric who are both overpaid, or Griffin who just has problems.

last time any western team succeeded with a true center was shaq and the lakers.
